This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or place an order, how we use it, and your rights over it. We only collect what we need, and we never sell your data.

1. Who we are

The Nosing Co (a trading name of The Nosing Co Ltd) is the “data controller” responsible for your personal information. You can reach us at hello@thenosingco.co.uk, or by post at Armant, Pontsian, Llandysul, SA44 4UD.

2. The information we collect

We collect only what we need to take and fulfil your order and answer your enquiries:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Billing and delivery address
• Order details (products, sizes, colours and amounts)
• Messages you send us through the enquiry form or by email
• Limited technical and cookie data needed to run the shopping cart and keep the site secure

We do not see or store your full payment card details — these are handled directly by our payment processor.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Process, make and deliver your order
• Contact you about your order or enquiry
• Handle returns, refunds and any issues
• Meet our legal and accounting obligations, and help prevent fraud

Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running the business, and complying with the law. We will only send marketing if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that help us run the shop, and only as far as needed:

• Our cart provider, Snipcart, which powers the checkout
• Our payment processor Stripe, which takes payment securely
• Our website host, Hostinger
• Delivery and courier partners, to get your order to you
• Our accountant or HMRC where required by law

We never sell your personal information.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies that are needed for the shopping cart and checkout to work, and to keep the site secure. We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and enquiry records for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet legal and tax obligations (typically 6 years for order and tax records), then delete them.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete it
• Ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it
• Ask us to transfer it to another provider

8. Storing and processing your data

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it to UK standards.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
